Vanderwolf with Robert Wyatt and Daevid Allen

"Vanderwolf's new ep leads with A side “When The Fire Grows Cold”, a piano-led cinematic nightmare-lullaby co-sung by the legendary musician-activist, Robert Wyatt.

The B side is “Extinction!”, a 7-minute Balkan-brass psychedelic fantasy featuring the late, great Daevid Allen’s glissando guitar solo and the wonderful Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey, Lydia Lunch, Tindersticks) on saxophone."

Check Bandcamp for more info and downloads. Only digital version (so far?).

Nice to see you back.
Concerning this track "When The Fire Grows Cold" sung by Robert Wyatt, I'm sure it dates back from several years. The same version was available (on Youtube ?) long ago, and the band was Last Man Standing. It's quite surprising to see this track resurfacing now under Vanderwolf's name, and available for purchasing only now. What happened since all these years ?
This is a very good EP, too bad he didn't propose a physical copy.

Thanks hixem, you have got a better memory than me! Here is my post from January 16, 2011:

When the fire grows cold

Hey, what´s this? A new record with Robert Wyatt singing: Last Man Standing: "The
fire grows cold".
It sounds great, but this is all I know. Anyone better informed?
Check out Last Man Standing on MySpace.

Added 17 January: I stole this info from their Facebook profile:
"LMS have come to the conclusion of a 3-4 year-long recording project. We are mixed, mastered and armed with 18 fantastic new tracks with special guests Robert Wyatt and Daevid Allen. Seeking a record label and a tour agent".
