I found Han Bennink & Frode Gjerstad´s "Han & Frode" ( Cadence Jazz Records 2009) in my mailbox yesterday. This one (too!) sounds great, with Gjerstad on alto and clarinets and Bennink on drums and percussion (teeth and shoes included I guess) having fun with free impro, that even swings.
The music was recorded during a concert on Inderøy island (Norway, Mars 2008), in The Nils Aas Museum (Norwegian sculptor).
I heard the duo at Moldejazz in July, and is looking forward to see them again at All Ears in Oslo in January.
