You should check out Rockettothesky's album "Medea" (Trustme 2008). As far as I'm able to read on the dark cover, Rockettothesky (Jenny Val) is doing most of the stuff herself. It's pop, it's a bit gloomy, and sometimes very quiet. Music to play loud, while you are sitting in your best chair, having a cup of tea and staring out into the darkness, perhaps.
