Interrupting Cutler

Sunday we had a post on an old Franz Ferdinand song ("Jacqueline"), partly inspired by Ivor Cutler, and today some more old Ivor Cutler news (news to me at least)!

In 2003 The Brian Irvine Ensemble released the CD "Interrupting Cutler" (Coyote Records), a fine mix of some kind of funky party free jazz, with several short tracks where they "interrupt" Ivor Cutler on vocal samples from the Cutler album "A wet handle" (Creation 1997).

Find musicians and tracklist over at Discogs, and visit Brian Irvines´site.

"Interrupting Cutler" won the BBC Jazz Awards for best new work in 2003.
